Barking Cats is the online identity for Lee Richardson, AKA Slate. I’m a software and web developer in the San Francisco Bay Area, with time spent at Apple (Claris), Frame Technology, and Adobe Systems. I’ve held a diverse set of titles- Software Developer, QA Manager, International Engineering Manager, Development Manager, and, most recently, Director of Engineering at Adobe. I’ve successfully shipped multiple desktop applications, with a broad set of strengths from low-level coding through corporate and project management.

barkingcats.com hosts my personal blog and a few of my music compositions. I played jazz trumpet and classical French horn in high school and college, organized and ran a small a cappella singing group at Adobe, and completed a Masters Certificate in Theory and Harmony at Berklee School of Music in Boston, as well as a Bass Specialist program.
